The school directory families deserve.

Schola exists to bring clarity to one of the most important decisions a family will ever make — choosing the right school.

Finding the right school should be straightforward. But for millions of families, it isn't. The landscape of education today is richer and more complex than ever — public schools, charter schools, private academies, Montessori programs, classical schools, STEM magnets, faith-based institutions, homeschool co-ops, online programs, and everything in between. Every child is different. Every family has different values, different needs, and different constraints.

Schola was created to be the starting point for that search. Our name comes from the Latin word for "school" — the original root that gave rise to the English word "scholar." We believe that heritage carries a responsibility: to treat education with the seriousness and care it deserves.

What We're Building

Schola is an independent, global directory of schools and educational programs. We are not affiliated with any school network, religious organization, curriculum publisher, or political group. Our editorial content — the guides, comparisons, and resources in our Journal — is written to be genuinely useful to parents, not to promote a particular educational philosophy.

We believe families make the best decisions when they have access to clear, honest, well-organized information. That means presenting every type of school — from public to private, secular to religious, traditional to progressive — on a level playing field. No pay-to-play rankings. No hidden agendas. Just information that helps you find the right fit.

How It Works

Schools and programs can submit a free listing to be included in the Schola directory. We verify each submission and organize listings by location, school type, educational philosophy, and grade levels served. Families can browse the directory, read our educational guides, and contact schools directly.

We are committed to keeping the core directory free for both schools and families. We plan to offer optional premium features for schools — such as featured placement and enhanced profiles — to sustain the platform without compromising the integrity of our listings.

Our Values

🎯

Family-First

Every decision we make starts with the question: does this help families find the right school?

⚖️

Independent & Objective

No school pays to rank higher. No philosophy gets preferential treatment. We present facts; families decide.

🌍

Globally Inclusive

Education takes many forms across the world. We aim to represent the full spectrum — not just one country or tradition.

Editorially Rigorous

Our guides are researched, sourced, and written to the standard families deserve when making decisions about their children's education.

Get Involved

Schola is growing — and we'd love your help. If you run a school or educational program, list it in our directory at no cost. If you're a parent, educator, or organization interested in partnering with us, get in touch. And if you find our guides useful, the best thing you can do is share them with a family who's navigating the same questions you are.
